The heyrobertsons blog has been a fun ride. To date, 373 posts spanning more than 2 years. We've shared pretty much everything about Owen/us on this site, and we hope it made you smile throughout your day when you visited.<br />
But tonight I was telling Katie that the blog has recently felt like another chore. Not so much fun anymore. Hopefully everyone understands. <br />
We'll be emailing a slideshow of Owen/our fam to friends and family on a regular basis (maybe monthly?) to keep all of you in the loop. Shoot us an email if you're interested in being included (heyrobertsons@mac.com).<br />
And who knows, maybe if/when we go for baby #2, we'll fire up the blog again.<br />
So with that, we say so long for now.<br />
<br />
Cheers and much love,<br />
Katie, Travis & Owen<br />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945599262879635037.post-21614511621621703482009-12-31T07:11:00.009-06:002010-01-03T23:08:01.413-06:00Roadtrip to IA (then on to MO).For our Christmas week road trip, we split the 9 hour trek up and stayed halfway in Coralville, IA. It was the perfect choice (all Katie's geniusness). Duder was in heaven at the nearby Coral Ridge Mall's indoor playground. He even took a ride on his first merry-go-round...<br />

For months, he's flirted with the thing, but would squirm when placed in the saddle. Katie and I were bummed b/c the horse is so great. Look at it, how could you not ride that horse? Well, Owen is <span style="font-style: italic;">all about</span> the horse these days. Several times a day, he runs over to the horse and climbs aboard. He pets the horsey's yarn mane and rocks excitedly when we say "go horsey go!" Now if we can just train Duder to not ride the horse like it's a surfboard. I'm tellin' ya, this kid is full of mischief.<br /><br /><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/BqgHJOb2czI&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/BqgHJOb2czI&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945599262879635037.post-62431307338632028412009-12-01T07:11:00.001-06:002009-12-01T07:11:00.971-06:00Here comes the skeleton.<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pItTRWDGegs&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pItTRWDGegs&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945599262879635037.post-5053088167200518602009-11-30T00:19:00.002-06:002009-11-30T00:33:05.038-06:00Happy Thanks...uh...Halloween.Like I said last week, we have a wee bit of catching up to do. So here goes Halloween night. That evening we headed over to <a href="http://heyrobertsons.blogspot.com/search?q=weber&x=0&y=0">Team Weber's</a> house for a little trickin' and treatin' in their hood. They live in Edina so we were thinking the candy would be dee-luxe. It was good, but there wasn't any full candy bar action to be had nor crazy ladies handing out apples. (I'm not being sexist. In my experience, it's always a crazy lady). Oh, and our H-ween Posse multiplied with the help of <a href="http://bandeisthree.blogspot.com/">Team Hopkins!</a> Lucy was the most adorable monkey. Lucky for us, Benjamin (as Indiana Jones) and Stella (as Magic Fairy Princess) kept us safe on our journey, warding off any giant rolling boulders or mean green goblins.<br />P.S. check out Duder wearing the wig. He's just (sniffle, sniffle) growing up so fast. Btw, he was scared of his own Beatle-esque 'do. Good times.<br /><br /><object height="300" width="400"> <param name="flashvars" value="offsite=true&lang=en-us&page_show_url=%2Fphotos%2F28929655%40N07%2Fsets%2F72157622858336832%2Fshow%2F&page_show_back_url=%2Fphotos%2F28929655%40N07%2Fsets%2F72157622858336832%2F&set_id=72157622858336832&jump_to="> <param name="movie" value="http://www.flickr.com/apps/slideshow/show.swf?v=71649"> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://www.flickr.com/apps/slideshow/show.swf?v=71649" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="offsite=true&lang=en-us&page_show_url=%2Fphotos%2F28929655%40N07%2Fsets%2F72157622858336832%2Fshow%2F&page_show_back_url=%2Fphotos%2F28929655%40N07%2Fsets%2F72157622858336832%2F&set_id=72157622858336832&jump_to=" height="300" width="400"></embed></object>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945599262879635037.post-44246397700441219612009-11-27T07:11:00.003-06:002009-11-27T07:11:00.155-06:00Duder gets a haircut.Not sure if I told you this yet or not, but the latest nickname we have for O-Robs/"O"/O-Max/Sir Owen is now "Duder" or "The Duder." Why? No big reason except it just fits. O just looks like a Duder. Has the swagger like one. Babbles like one. Has hair like a shaggy, surfer Duder.<br />Anywho. Well, we took Duder to this place at the E.P. mall named, unremarkably, "Kids Hair" to get his first hair cut. Little man was not digging it at first. Then he realized that Mama was at his side, so he put his pouty lip away. Decided to be a big boy and stop crying. Because that's just what a Duder does.<br /><br /><object height="300" width="400"> <param name="flashvars" value="offsite=true&lang=en-us&page_show_url=%2Fphotos%2F28929655%40N07%2Fsets%2F72157622733588409%2Fshow%2F&page_show_back_url=%2Fphotos%2F28929655%40N07%2Fsets%2F72157622733588409%2F&set_id=72157622733588409&jump_to="> <param name="movie" value="http://www.flickr.com/apps/slideshow/show.swf?v=71649"> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://www.flickr.com/apps/slideshow/show.swf?v=71649" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="offsite=true&lang=en-us&page_show_url=%2Fphotos%2F28929655%40N07%2Fsets%2F72157622733588409%2Fshow%2F&page_show_back_url=%2Fphotos%2F28929655%40N07%2Fsets%2F72157622733588409%2F&set_id=72157622733588409&jump_to=" height="300" width="400"></embed></object>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945599262879635037.post-38605419803456932252009-11-26T07:11:00.000-06:002009-11-26T07:11:00.597-06:00Tickle belly.<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dtxaVI1ye84&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dtxaVI1ye84&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945599262879635037.post-14904482033530926842009-11-25T07:11:00.001-06:002009-11-25T07:11:00.524-06:00Dragon walk.Here's a vid of our dragon on the prowl for trouble (and candy).<br /><br /><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/SL7ELWa4ZSU&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/SL7ELWa4ZSU&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945599262879635037.post-16162878390378447652009-11-24T07:11:00.002-06:002009-11-24T07:11:00.748-06:00Hallzooween.It's the day of Halloween. The phone rings while we're out running errands. It's Jee and Chris: "Want to go trick or treating at the zoo today?" Yep, of course. We love the random, wing-it kind of afternoons. It was fun to see Connor boy dressed up like a panda. And to see Owen doing a dry run of his dragon costume before the big Halloween night. Good times. Owen even ran into a fellow dragon along the way.<br /><br /><object height="300" width="400"> <param name="flashvars" value="offsite=true&lang=en-us&page_show_url=%2Fphotos%2F28929655%40N07%2Fsets%2F72157622733324637%2Fshow%2F&page_show_back_url=%2Fphotos%2F28929655%40N07%2Fsets%2F72157622733324637%2F&set_id=72157622733324637&jump_to="> <param name="movie" value="http://www.flickr.com/apps/slideshow/show.swf?v=71649"> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://www.flickr.com/apps/slideshow/show.swf?v=71649" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="offsite=true&lang=en-us&page_show_url=%2Fphotos%2F28929655%40N07%2Fsets%2F72157622733324637%2Fshow%2F&page_show_back_url=%2Fphotos%2F28929655%40N07%2Fsets%2F72157622733324637%2F&set_id=72157622733324637&jump_to=" height="300" width="400"></embed></object>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945599262879635037.post-30150357521681904102009-11-23T07:11:00.000-06:002009-11-23T07:11:00.117-06:00Lil' Vike.In honor of Sunday's victory/manhandling of the Seahawks, I had to post these photos of our little guy in uniform.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrpVA5XJPl0imVtvE68zyvjCSp1gvXc-s1s18ykwP6cR08i4XYpgW5zENujqxnoj3YUegSFN9DrHfKqM50839kRYe2J9xPMW0JlBVXNklAS_gP3WmFrFxrG-sAzfaYBd60ENTziCRN_t3W/s1600/Picture+3.png"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 239px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrpVA5XJPl0imVtvE68zyvjCSp1gvXc-s1s18ykwP6cR08i4XYpgW5zENujqxnoj3YUegSFN9DrHfKqM50839kRYe2J9xPMW0JlBVXNklAS_gP3WmFrFxrG-sAzfaYBd60ENTziCRN_t3W/s320/Picture+3.png" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5407110952752696962" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLxfZINHgE1yPHLQTMpU6btaEGOAkzCkaGChG4YgiEQQb_OPGbFwDVj8cA4qsZFLOwDHqIx94b8_BNJExlNx3AZPqcIWQgbP3x-l1m6RvqAx_CV2xDNzafYVuUwThyphenhyphenyG6FpMVt0577hMq7/s1600/Picture+4.png"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 238px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLxfZINHgE1yPHLQTMpU6btaEGOAkzCkaGChG4YgiEQQb_OPGbFwDVj8cA4qsZFLOwDHqIx94b8_BNJExlNx3AZPqcIWQgbP3x-l1m6RvqAx_CV2xDNzafYVuUwThyphenhyphenyG6FpMVt0577hMq7/s320/Picture+4.png" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5407110967308891426" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSIVSO0eUXOz9hMTWJp91iTam9-qyx70BHzmgTrNPM69djizRol3fn8DSwd0W0RQB0B8666_WJZiM6VHV23oIAKqwq6VjRv3CVY9-T_zFsQkkD6rGstj5Ji2amBGKTk-Fj62IiaoAUHj-V/s1600/Picture+1.png"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 238px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSIVSO0eUXOz9hMTWJp91iTam9-qyx70BHzmgTrNPM69djizRol3fn8DSwd0W0RQB0B8666_WJZiM6VHV23oIAKqwq6VjRv3CVY9-T_zFsQkkD6rGstj5Ji2amBGKTk-Fj62IiaoAUHj-V/s320/Picture+1.png" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5407110924890693874" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicrthS_apvEJw5wofxWbTsbPKekJNSxILKAKWUh5gf0T3XOykEAGb24_kLuQ2Wvccv7fyynKLyOd_eRWtgt76tUhFKzDotFA7ZhxmfZVVPPWtaV4SYzgguLoWrIV8GzrZLhFoQY1bPTTMA/s1600/Picture+2.png"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 238px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicrthS_apvEJw5wofxWbTsbPKekJNSxILKAKWUh5gf0T3XOykEAGb24_kLuQ2Wvccv7fyynKLyOd_eRWtgt76tUhFKzDotFA7ZhxmfZVVPPWtaV4SYzgguLoWrIV8GzrZLhFoQY1bPTTMA/s320/Picture+2.png" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5407110936491988274" border="0" /></a>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945599262879635037.post-2395821164841240132009-11-20T07:11:00.002-06:002009-11-20T07:24:28.522-06:00On the way home.Right before we left the orchard, we let Owen pick an apple off the tree. It was a cute shot and whatever, but he insisted that he keep his apple. Whining ensued. Ok fine, keep your apple for the ride home. At this age, O isn't supposed to be eating any fruits with tough skin on them, but we didn't think he'd be able to really do anything but slobber on the apple. We were, umm, wrong. By the time we got home it was a mangled core.<br /><br /><object height="344" width="425"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/4XjxqHE6xzo&hl=en&fs=1"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/4XjxqHE6xzo&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="344" width="425"></embed></object>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
