Well, it's the weekend. So as you can probably tell by now, the Robertsons don't do much bloggin' on the weekends and like to keep our posts to bidness only: Mon-Fri. But for you Sat-Sun readers, I wanted to share a favorite thing from our trip to the Zoo last weekend.
The Mold-O-Rama. Straight from the 1950s-60s, these beautiful machines can inject pipin' hot plastic into a mold then create a wild animal souvenir for all to enjoy. Growing up in St. Louis and going to the world famous (free) Zoo there as a kid, I have fond memories of the Mold-O-Rama.
Fun fact: at Como Zoo, the machines were such fan favorites that they had to be brought back out of retirement. Here's the gorilla one we saw last Saturday. We also
saw a blue polar bear machine and a couple others there. Good stuff. Check out the strange warning sign and the mod graphic design. Nice. -T
