Until we had a baby, I didn't fully grasp the whole visitor thing. There's the first wave. I call it the hospital wave, where people drop by the hospital and cram in like sardines to see you just as the baby is born. Then there's wave 2: the housewarming wave- the first week you're getting settled in at the homestead. But the final wave, probably my favorite, is the straggler wave. This happens a couple weeks or more after the big day. We're more relaxed at this point, comfortable with the baby, and have some semblance of what we're doing as parents. Good times. It's been fun seeing everyone, all who visited us-- in whatever "wave" you were. We loved it all. And special thanks to all who treated us to lunch/brunch/dinner/etc. Yum.
